Nitro cold brew coffee is filtered cold brewed coffee, supercharged with pure nitrogen gas. It’s pure black coffee, but not as you know it.  Smooth tasting with a  creamy finish.

THE NITRO COFFEE DIFFERENCE

Cold brew coffee is different from iced coffee which is brewed hot and then served cold, whereas cold brewed coffee is simply coffee, brewed cold and filtered.

Our Nitro cold brew coffee is a pure compound of two ingredients: Chiasso’s Dolce Certified Organic coffee which is infused with nitrogen bubbles. The cold brewing process brings out the complex, subtle flavours of the coffee and charging the coffee with Nitrogen gas produces the characteristic creamy texture.

HOW TO MAKE NITRO COLD BREW COFFEE

We start with fresh roasted certified organic coffee beans which are cold brewed in pure filtered water. The naturally smooth and sweet flavours of Chiasso Coffee Roaster’s certified organic coffee blend are gently coaxed out by the soft cold brew process.

Our cold brew coffee is double filtered and then charged with nitrogen gas before being chilled to below 4 degrees Celsius.

Nitrogen gas bubbles are smaller in size than carbon dioxide and give the nitro cold brew coffee it’s trade mark creamy texture.

Pouring from the tap and cascading beautifully in the glass the result is a super smooth, creamy chilled coffee.

THE TYPICAL NITRO COLD BREW SYSTEM

The standard cafe setup for cold brew coffee involves a kegerator which is a small bar fridge with 2 externally mounted taps. Internally there is space for 2 kegs and a food grade nitrogen gas bottle. There is also the ability to externally mount a separate gas bottle if required (such as CO2 for beer or kombucha).

You will need:

• Kegerator with 1 or 2 taps
• LCD temperature control
• Nitro spouts for your taps
• Nitrogen regulator, with N2 fitting
• Bottle of food grade Nitrogen gas
• Cold brewing system
• Cold brew cleaning products & filters
